Whether you’re pregnant, you’ve recently had your baby (or perhaps it was some time ago), or are experiencing core weakness / abdominal separation or some form of pelvic floor dysfunction, I can help you to reconnect with your core + pelvic floor again.
Combining education (knowledge is power!), plus a range of release + strengthening exercises, during the course of our time together, I’ll create a program bespoke to you.
Who is this program for?
This program is for you if:
- You are pregnant + want to reduce the abnormal separation of abdominal muscles (diastasis recti) that can occur in pregnancy, keep your core strong + get your pelvis in the best alignment for delivery + / or to reduce postural pains as baby grows
- You have birthed your baby (no matter how or how long ago) + want to address your core function, abdominal separation + pelvic floor condition, as well as address those back, hip + shoulder aches
- You have “oops” moments, such as sneezy pees, leak a little when laughing or running, or experience escaping wind at often the most embarrassing times + want to be confident about social situations
- You want to protect your core + pelvic floor health for the long-term
How is the FIT Abdominal Separation and Pelvic Floor
“Traditional” core + pelvic floor exercises concentrate on “fixing” just one thing + encourage you to do the same few exercises over again
However, the truth is that you can’t simply “spot reduce” issues through strength training alone.
This FIT program takes a whole-body, head-to-toe, approach to address your core + pelvic health concerns, both for now + the longer term.
We’ll meet every 2-4 weeks for a 60-minute session, which will bring together both education + practical teaching exercises.
At your first appointment, I will complete an assessment of your posture + alignment, as well as your core function.
I will then set you a personalised program to follow in-between appointments.
You’ll be given guidance notes + a workbook to take away for you to then practise what you’ve learnt at home. To ensure the best results for you, you’ll be expected to allow 10-15 minutes 1-2 times per day for the exercises, as well as look at ways to include the other lifestyle + small habit recommendations I make.
Please wear either shorts or leggings so that I can see how you’re aligned. A T-shirt on top is fine.
How do I book?
I typically see my clients anywhere between 3-6 sessions. Appointments are available Mon-Fri in the daytime.
Initial sessions are booked and paid for in a pack of 3 sessions (£165).
Thereafter you can book a further pack of 3 sessions, or individual sessions (£62).
Appointments take place either at my studio in Teignmouth, or at Barefoot Physio Clinic in Central Exeter.
To book, please select the appropriate link below. You’ll then be taken through to checkout.
If booking a pack of 3 sessions, once you’ve made payment, you’ll be directed to the online pre-screening health questionnaire to complete to ensure that this program is right for you. This must be submitted before you attend the first appointment.
I will then confirm your appointment by email, and we’ll arrange a mutually convenient time to discuss by phone your online pre-screening questionnaire responses so that I can tailor the appointment to your specific needs.
