Introduction

This privacy notice of The FIT Movement Limited. In this document, “we”, “our, or “us” refers to The FIT Movement Limited.

This is a notice to inform you of our policy about all information we record about you. It sets out the conditions under which we may process any information that we collect from you, or that you provide to us. We undertake to preserve the confidentiality of all the information you provide us. The short answer is don’t worry, we only use the data in legal ways. In most cases you have opted in to our newsletter or signed up for one of our classes.

Except as set out below, we do not share, sell or disclose to a third party any information collected through our website.

We may use a third party to provide us with re-marketing services from time to time. If so, then if you have consented to our use of cookies, you may see advertisements for our products and services on other websites.

Contact and Communication

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure a safe and secure form to email submission process, you contact our website and us at your own discretion and provide any such personal details requested at your own risk. Your personal information is retained for the minimum amount of time necessary to provide you with the information and / or services that you requested from us.

We may use any information submitted to provide you with further information about our business, products / services we offer or to assist you in answering any questions or queries you may have submitted. We may send you marketing emails with either your consent or if we believe we have a legitimate interest to contact you based upon your contact or question. This includes using your details to subscribe you to any email newsletter program we operate. Your details are not passed on to any third parties.

Email Newsletter

We operate an email newsletter program, used to inform subscribers about products, content and services. You can subscribe through an online automated process should you wish to do so but you do so at your own discretion. Some subscriptions may be manually processed through prior written agreement with you.

Subscriptions are taken in compliance with Spam Laws. All personal details relating to subscriptions are held securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. No personal details are passed on to third parties nor shared with companies / people outside of us.

Email marketing campaigns published by us may contain tracking facilities within the actual email. Subscriber activity is tracked and stored in a database for future analysis and evaluation. Such tracked activity may include: the opening of emails, forwarding of emails, the clicking of links within the email content, times, dates and frequency of activity [this is by no far a comprehensive list]. This information is used to refine future email campaigns and supply you with more relevant content based around your activity.

In compliance with UK Spam Laws and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, you are given the opportunity to unsubscribe at any time through an automated system. This process is detailed at the footer of each email campaign. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can email us at hello@thefitmovement.co.uk or follow the instructions at the bottom of each email and we will promptly remove you from ALL correspondence. This may limit the service we can provide to you, especially if you are enrolled in any of our classes or programs.

Although our website only looks to include quality, safe and relevant external links, you are advised adopt a policy of caution before clicking any external web links mentioned throughout this website. External links include clickable text / banner / image links to other websites.

We cannot guarantee or verify the contents of any externally linked website despite our best efforts. Therefore, if you click on external links at their own risk and we cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any external links mentioned.

Adverts and Sponsored Links

This website may contain sponsored links and adverts. These will typically be served through our advertising partners, who may have detailed privacy policies relating directly to the adverts they serve.

We do not specifically use this information except to allow it to be displayed or shared. We do store it, and we reserve a right to use it in the future in any way we decide.

Once your information enters the public domain, we have no control over what any individual third party may do with it. We accept no responsibility for their actions at any time.

You are therefore advised to use social media platforms wisely and communicate / engage upon them with due care and caution in regard to their own privacy and personal details. Neither we nor our  website will ever ask for personal or sensitive information through social media platforms and encourage users wishing to discuss sensitive details to contact them through primary communication channels such as by telephone or email.

This website may use social sharing buttons which help share web content directly from web pages to the social media platform in question. You are advised before using such social sharing buttons that you do so at their own discretion and note that the social media platform may track and save your request to share a web page respectively through your social media platform account.

Shortened Links in Social Media

Through our social media platform accounts we may share web links to relevant web pages. By default some social media platforms shorten lengthy urls web addresses. You are advised to take caution and good judgement before clicking any shortened urls published on social media platforms by this website and its owners. Despite the best efforts to ensure only genuine urls are published many social media platforms are prone to spam and hacking and therefore neither we nor this website can be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any shortened links.

Payment Details

Our online shop uses Stripe and Paypal primarily. The only payment-based details we keep track of is how much you’ve spent and when. We do not have any access to your bank or card details.

At the point of payment, you are transferred to a secure page on the website of  Stripe AND / OR PayPal as our payment service provider. That page may be branded to look like a page on our website, but it is not controlled by us.

Information We Process Because We Have a Legal Obligation

Like everyone, we are subject to the law. Sometimes we must process your information in order to comply with a statutory obligation. For example, we may be required to give information to legal authorities if they so request, or if they have the proper authorisation, such as a search warrant or court order. This may include your personal information.

Except as otherwise mentioned in this privacy notice, we keep your personal information only for as long as required by us:

We take commercially reasonable steps to protect the personal data you provide to us from misuse, disclosure or unauthorised access. We only share your personal data with trusted third parties as set out in this privacy policy who use the same level of care in processing your personal data.  That being said, we cannot guarantee that your personal data will always be secure due to technology or security breaches. Should there be a data breach of which we are aware, we will inform you immediately.

Use of site by children

We do not sell products or provide services for purchase by children, nor do we market to children. If you are under 18, you may use our website only with consent from a parent or guardian.

Compliance with the law

Our privacy policy has been compiled so as to comply with the law of every country or legal jurisdiction in which we aim to do business. Continued use of any information obtained through or on the website or its content following the posting of changes and/or modifications constitute acceptance of the revised privacy policy.
